Finally Fixed Home Services is a smart tech and home services installation company. We are licensed and insured to perform low-voltage wiring and related technology services.
We are not licensed as electricians and therefore do not perform any services that involve 120-volt or higher electrical systems.
To comply with the Colorado Electrical Board and the National Electrical Code (NEC), Finally Fixed Home Services cannot perform any task that involves the installation, alteration, or repair of electrical wiring used for light, heat, or power.
We are not licensed as plumbers and therefore do not perform any services that involve new plumbing installation, water line work, or sewer/drain modifications.
Tech Services We Provide
Finally Fixed Home Services performs the following low-voltage (Class 2/3) and technology services:
- TV mounting and installation
- Ethernet (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) cabling
- Coaxial cabling (RG6, RG59)
- Surround sound and audio installation
- Security camera (PoE or low-voltage) wiring
- Smart home device installation (low-voltage only)
- WiFi and network equipment setup
- Starlink and satellite internet installation
- Cable management and cleanup
- Computer and printer setup
These tech services do not involve modifying electrical power wiring.
Home Services We Provide
We also offer a variety of home repair and handyman services that don't require licensed contractors:
- Door hinge adjustment and repair
- Door handle and deadbolt installation
- Furniture assembly (IKEA, etc.)
- Wall mounting (shelves, mirrors, art)
- Curtain rod and blinds installation
- Towel bar and bathroom accessory mounting
- Closet rod and shelf installation
- Screen door repair
- Minor adjustments and repairs
- Cabinet hardware installation
Fixture Replacements (Like-for-Like Only)
Under Colorado law, the following like-for-like replacements are permitted without a licensed electrician or plumber:
- Light fixture replacement — Swapping an existing light fixture with a new one using existing wiring
- Ceiling fan replacement — Replacing an existing ceiling fan where one was previously installed
- Garbage disposal replacement — Replacing an existing garbage disposal using existing plumbing and electrical connections
- Shower head and faucet aerator replacement
- Toilet flapper and fill valve replacement
Important: We can only replace fixtures where they already exist. We cannot install new fixtures where none previously existed, as that requires a licensed electrician or plumber to run new wiring or plumbing.
Services We CANNOT Perform (Electrical Work)
Finally Fixed Home Services does not perform any of the following, as they require a Colorado-licensed electrician:
Outlet and Electrical Work
- Moving a 120V electrical outlet (even a few inches)
- Adding new outlets
- Replacing or relocating electrical boxes
- Installing or extending Romex wiring
- Altering or adding circuits
- Working inside electrical panels
Lighting and Power
- Installing new light fixtures or ceiling fans where none previously existed
- Relocating existing fixtures or adding new circuits
- Replacing switches or dimmers
- Wiring for appliances or HVAC
- Hardwiring doorbells, thermostats, or cameras that require 120V supply
Other Prohibited Work
- Any wiring carrying over 50 volts
- Any work requiring electrical permits
- Any work defined by the Colorado Electrical Board as "electrical contracting"
If a project includes electrical work, we will gladly coordinate with a licensed electrician or refer you to one.
Homeowner Exception (For Private Residences Only)
Colorado homeowners are allowed to perform their own electrical work on their own primary residence with proper permits.
This exception does not apply to work performed by Finally Fixed Home Services or any contractor without an electrical license.
